Mew

Pokémon Center plush (2006)
Company: Pokémon Center
Year: 2006 Country: United States This plush was my main grail for such a long time, not only rare but expensive as well. I had lost one on eBay in a bidding war a few months before, so when this one had a BIN price I jumped on the opportunity. Big Mew needed some surgery when I got him, with a popped seam on the underside of his head. But I fixed him up and I'm very happy to have him in my collection now ♥︎ |
Tomy 20th Anniversary plush
Company: Tomy
Year: 2016 Country: United States Another beautiful plush, this time from Tomy. This Mew is from a series of twelve mythical Pokémon which were released monthly throughout 2016 to celebrate Pokémon's 20th anniversary. These plush are unique in that they are made of a shiny velvety fabric and came packaged in soft-sided plastic boxes (see third photo). |
Poké Doll
MokoMoko plush
Pokémon Fit plush
Company: Pokémon Center
Year: 2018 Country: Japan These plush are apparently named so because they fit in the palm of your hand. They caused a big stir in the collecting community because one was released of every single Kanto Pokémon, including some obscure ones that hadn't gotten a plush before. Really lovely little plush, stuffed with beans in the bottom so they have a nice weight to them. |

Keychain with Crystal
Company: unknown
Year: 2005-06 (?) Country: Japan (?) For the longest time, I had one of these figures that was missing the keychain and crystal pieces. I bought this complete one from arisamon on PKMNCollectors. I am very happy to have the full keychain now. c: I'm guessing that this was released to correlate with the movie "Lucario and the Mystery of Mew", which was released in Japan in 2005 and in the United States in 2006. The figure doesn't have a year on it, so that's the best guess I have for when it was released. |
Jakks figure
Company: Jakks Pacific
Year: 2007 Country: United States This is one of my favorite Mew figures because of its size (it's huge compared to most other figures!) and its uniqueness in general. Some of the Jakks figures were pretty wonky (see Shinx for example, lol), but this one is beautiful. There is a small flat area on Mew's butt, leading me to believe that it is supposed to be able to sit/stand up somehow, but weirdly this seems to be impossible due to the placement of its tail. |
Diorama figure
Company: Bandai
Year: 2005 Country: Japan (?) A beautiful little diorama that came in five pieces. When I expressed interest in buying the mini model below, Leah said she had another Mew thing, and it was this figure! Before then, I had no idea it even existed. According to another collector on the Discord server, this figure came in a set with Lucario, Munchlax, Regirock, and Tropius. |
Rumble U NFC figure
Mini Model figure
Company: unknown
Year: 2004-05 Country: Japan A neat little figure released around the same time as the movie Lucario and the Mystery of Mew. This series of mini model came in at least seven colors including pink, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, and white. Since they are pretty hard to come by, I decided to just buy the one instead of trying to track down all the colors. I bought this figure from Leah on the Pokémon Collectors Discord server. |

Bound Ball
Company: Bandai
Year: 2005 Country: Japan This thing is so cute. And I had a weird amount of trouble tracking it down. I only knew of its existence from a lot photo someone had posted on PKMNCollectors ages ago; searching for "Mew ball" and related terms brought up nothing. Then I randomly found one in perfect condition on eBay. And now he is mine. |
Mega Blok
Company: Mattel
Year: 2006-2008 (?) Country: Japan There were a few variants of this block; I know there's one with both eyes open out there too. The Mega Bloks in general are pretty hard to come by; I'm guessing because they're so small and originally came in big sets. I included a photo with my fingers for scale because I kept thinking these things were way bigger than they actually were, even after knowing the real dimensions. ^^; |

Pokémon Collection rubber keychain
Company: Pokémon Center
Year: 2017 Country: Japan This keychain was available from a lottery at Pokémon Center stores. The notches are so you can wrap earphones around it. There are a few others with Mew on them, but I liked this one best. I got this keychain from FairyChrissy in a trade for one of the Re-Ment dioramas she'd claimed from me. |
